Good, as usual, but slow in the middle
Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2019
I've read all the Mitch Rapp books up to this one. I've liked them all, some better that others. But for me, this story could have been told more effectively in far fewer pages. As with many of these books, there's big-time action up front, then things slow down to cover all the political BS Mitch has to put up with, then ends with a bang. This one had far too much fill in between those points, unless you're really keen on the details of congressional hearings and far too much information on the personal life of Mitch's cohort, Nash. I ended up skipping through most of the middle and feel like I didn't really miss much. Still, if you're a die-hard Vince Flynn fan, you gotta read it.
