Emergency rations...somewhat edible....
Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2020
I had not had a "Doomsday zombie apocalypse" cache of food in the cupboard, but from now on I shall because no one knows what type of emergency might occur. However, I would not include this particular meal, which I found disappointing. Granted, it is not gourmet dining and is meant for emergency rations. That said, it is high in protein and there is a generous amount of gravy, which exudes an unappetizing aroma. I added a medley of frozen vegetables to accompany it. I did not like the turkey, which was processed and pressed into a shape reminiscent of a bathtub mat. The dressing was somewhat glutinous and tasteless but edible, nonetheless, and the sodium content overwhelmed with its saltiness. Nevertheless, this meal of sorts does provide something to eat in an emergency when you are hungry. But, I would not reorder it. Perhaps, some of the other Hormel Compleats are better than the turkey with dressing, but I am reluctant to try and find out. I intend to either donate the remaining meals to a food drive or give them to a neighbor... although I am embarrassed to do either. Maybe, I will just recycle them.
