I have to agree with one of the other earlier reviewers that I read before I purchased the book. He has it broken up into two parts, on the left page the "historical" writing and on the opposite page his commentaries. Although the format could be interesting, I just found his commentaries a little too off the cuff and shallow. I don't mean to be a judge since some people may like this...it just didn't work for me.
I found "The Lunar Tao" to be much more informative in a daily reflective kind of manner along with some needed and not so needed history of China, Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism.
