I guess that's what happens when you change to a bigger label....and let fans tell you how to record....

I have been a LOG fan since I first heard As The Palaces Burn, and have bought all cd's since...except for this one. I heard the first singles ( Set to Fail and Contractor) and was not impressed. However, I did give the album a chance beyond those two by listening to it in its entirety when they streamed it on their myspace, and to my disappointment, it didn't get any better. As a metal album, sure it's good, at best, but as a Lamb of God album, it really let me down. In my opinion, there were no real memorable songs, and the ones that were sounded like they should have been on Sacrament. It could be that they have a sweet record deal, and have made their money and don't care as much about heavy and brutal anymore, it could be that they had fans vote and choose on which parts should be included on the album, or it could just be a road block in their careers. Who knows?
