Good for Meditation Contemplation Perhaps
Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2014
If you are looking for things to contemplate while meditating, this book may be good for you. I, though, was very disappointed. I was hoping for more of a discussion on points. Though I do recall that they said that the lessons were short, I didn't realize how short they would be. This teaches me to buy samples from now on of books. The lessons were a paragraph, maybe two paragraph tops. To me, they felt like quick thoughts jotted down in a journal.
I'm not saying they weren't good lessons...but I was hoping for more of a discussion on why a person should follow these lessons...maybe with bits of John Paul's own life experience. Most of us probably know what we should do, but I like books that tell you why we have these morals...for I find that morals are easier to uphold when consequences of breaking them are laid out (and I don't mean hellfire and damnation--there are actually very practical reasons to uphold morals).
