I didn't have this item out of the package for 2 minutes and the round knob that keeps the pencil/point steady broke. It looked like it was secured with green cotton candy. I know it was an inexpensive compass, but a dollar is a hard earned dollar. I wouldn't recommend this item.

Not sturdy enough to survive day at school with 13 y.o.

Received on a Tuesday night, taken to school on Wednesday and came home completely broken into many parts. The knob sticking out a little from the circular hinge that keeps everything together broke, so the legs and everything came apart. No way to superglue the little plastic piece back together. My son is 13 y.o., has a heavy backpack with textbooks and a laptop, and put the compass in a fabric, zippered pencil case with a wooden ruler and a bunch of other stuff, so it probably got squished. At least he got to use it for his test before breaking later in the day. I'm going to buy him a metal compass now.

Broke the first day

This is accurate and seems to be great. But the tightening knob broke the first time. So, I had to run to Walmart and get a metal one for my sons geometry lesson. It was only $4.

Stationary protractor obviously works pretty well as the is no moving parts, but the circle compass is a touch on the loose side with no way to tighten it. You can get it to work, but it slides on you. The compass broke in less than a week however.

Pretty low quality. All the printed labels on the protractor were off center or at an angle, so it won’t actually measure angles accurately. The compass is nice though.

Got mine at OfficeMax (Hence this NOT being a verified purchase) for my geometry class. While the ruler and protractor work great (as one would expect for a piece of plastic with markings on it), the compass doesn't do a great job of locking the radius in place, nor does the pencil remain in place very well.
