Work great in a 1999 Suburban.
Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2016
I installed these on a 1999 Suburban I bought a few months ago, along with new calipers. They work fantastic.
A lot of people complain about these GMT400 trucks having really lousy stopping power, but with these pads on it, I have PLENTY of stopping power. I have no frame of reference to compare them to, because the Suburban came with really ruined brake pads, so it sucked even on the day I bought it (I knew it needed a brake job).
After I installed the pads, I was (and still am) quite pleased at how well they work.
Update, as of December 2017 this same set of pads holding up great. Going to last maybe another year before needing to replace.
Update, September 2018 the pads are still OK, they still stop the truck just fine, and would go another 10K miles if I left them on there, but I will be changing them to semi-metallics soon since I'll be redoing ball joints and such, might as well put new pads in while I'm at it.
These pads have gone around 22K miles and probably would go to around 32K, and that includes mostly around-town driving and some towing, as well as more than a little "spirited" driving. I'm happy enough that I put these same pads on a second Suburban we bought.
