I liked this book overall. 300 is A LOT of recipes. This is a good starting place for people who want to cook low calorie but don't really have the knowledge.
I found the artificial sweeteners & other artificial ingredients were given as options in some of the recipes, mostly in the breakfast section to make sweetened oatmeal, in the beginning section of the book. Butter Spray is also an option, you can use real butter. I cook mostly dinner recipes and those weren't sweet, and don't have sweeteners as an ingredient. It really wasn't loaded with fake ingredients like some of the reviews had me expecting.
One strange thing, and I don't know if this is a pro or con, I guess it depends on the person, but a lot of the recipes were for one serving. Like foil packets, they only list enough ingredients for one packet instead of four. I thought it was strange because the book isn't listed as "cooking for one." Of course you can just multiply the ingredients to make more.
