Highland Heat (The Highlander Series)
Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2014
It is a close tie between this one and To Conqueror a Highland as to which is my favorite. I am not sure I can pick as I like different things in each book. I think this one had more heat, but I like the fact that Torin knew what he want from the beginning, which was marriage, where Quinton just wanted a lover. Also I think Quinton and Deirdre's feeling were more based on sex through most of the book, where Torin and Shannon both knew there was more to their relationship from the beginning. I didn't like the fact that Quinton avoided her during the day so he only had to talk/argue with her in between sex at night. But as I stated above there was a lot of heat. As another reviewer said who wouldn't want someone like Quinton lusting after you. I am glad Deirdre got her own story and came off as being a strong heroine. After the other books I was not sure if I would like Quinton or Deirdre. A great book for the end of the series.
I would have liked there to be another book about Roan McLead getting Deirdre's half sister, and finding out what happens between Deirdre's father and the mother of her half sisters. Also I wanted to stated that part of the description for this book is not really true. "With nothing to lose, Deirdre and Quinton band together to protect king and country." This is the second description on one her books that is not really true. This one is a little more than the other one, but still not to the indent that they state it.
Sex content high.
