Too tall and too thin for the MM400
Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2020
This is clearly a “universal” case that tries to accommodate all shapes and sizes. Unfortunately if you buy a smaller meter (such as the MM400) the case is too tall and just takes up space. It has a tight pocket in the front but trying to fit the leads and other loose parts in it is not as simple as it should be, so 9 times out of 10 I’ll just leave everything loose inside the case. The case is not wide enough so that you can fold up the lead wires and place them on the side of the meter, so you have to place them in front of the meter which makes the case bulge when you close it. So bottom line: pocket is useless (not practical), case is not wide enough, and too tall. If you had a clamp-style meter this case would probably be fine, but for my Klein meter it’s clearly the wrong size. Which is annoying because Klein lists this case (probably their one and only case) as the “official” accessory for every meter they sell. I’ll most likely return it and buy a case that is closer to the dimensions of my meter.
