Marvelous movie, almost too much to bear.

Braff reminds me of John Ritter. Never mind that, mind blowing film, a trip; when I was watching it was almost too much to bear for being just a film. The subject matter, it's seriousness, it's pathos, has a lot to do with how well the makers must manage the material, and this film is almost insidious, the near-matchless skill it takes to slide the knife all the way into your kischkes. The High Cost of Living...great title. yes Blais has a face, so young and bare, you think, she cannot possibly reach that hot living core with a seemingly unmarked face like that, but she does.
