By denying Jesus as God, denies the trinity

Bill Johnson states on pg 29 Jesus was not fully divine when he walked the earth. If He was merely human, not divine, in his earthly ministry, his crucifixion and death on the cross was in vain. There can be no remission and atonement for sins without the perfect, spotless, holy God Man Jesus's substitutionary blood sacrifice once for all. If he was merely human, His crucifixion was no different than the animal sacrifices offered by the levitical priests in the old testament. And of course those were ineffective, because these blood offerings had to be made over and over and over again. In actuality, Jesus was completely human, completely God, offered himself up as an acceptable blood sacrifice for our sins on the cross, died, and was resurrected the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of God.
