To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The concept behind this book is great. I homeschool and we use the others in this series. However, after a spot check of the first 9 lessons I've found six with incorrect answers. I imagine if I looked at every single problem, more would be found. I'm trying to school three children at the same time...I need the answers in the book to be correct! ! Understanding fractions is key to successfully grasping more complicated concepts. American kids tend to miss fractions and therefore be crippled when attempting advanced math. This little book is an opportunity to play "catch up" and move forward with confidence.
Working on the problems with my grandson. He is learning fast and we enjoy working together slowly. Very nice idea and a good book. We started with very simple problems and now are about half way through. He can dome some interesting problems in his head, which is very amazing to both of us. I am (older) so I enjoy the practice as well. I think older persons would actually benefit by doing arithmetic in the head. I have hard time doing that. So it is practice for me too.
