Best Laser Paper!!

I used the laser paper when I made my coaster using Infusible ink pens to draw on the paper and then I used a heat press to infuse it onto my ceramic coasters. They came out looking so professional. High-quality paper!!

BUYER BEWARE

The shipping box was fine, but the paper package was opened and then sealed again with a scotch tape, looks like someone had tried it, didn't liked it, and returned it before i got this paper. ALSO: doesn't look like Hammermill quality AT ALL. I have this brand at my Graphic Design school and the quality of this paper is poor. I opened the package, and most of the paper was crinkled in the corners. Oh man!

Oh, and my "favorite part" - THIS PAPER IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN! (what?? Yep, that's true, you can't return it!)
Sorry for all caps, i'm just quite disappointed right now.

So, buyer beware. Sad! :(

Great Paper, Bad Handling

I am conflicted about this review. I gave it five stars for the the paper itself. But like many other reviewers, I had an issue with what I'm assuming is the handling during shipping.

I have ordered this paper one ream at a time in the past, but I like this paper so much I decided to order a whole case of 4000 sheets. The order was shipped promptly, but when I received the case it looked pretty beat up. I wasn't too concerned about that. When I opened the box to pull out the individual reams, that's when I noticed how rough the handling was. Seven of the eight reams were busted open. Who knows what this case of paper has been through, but when I received it, it was in rough shape.

I will be hesitant to order in this quantity again.

Thick and sturdy

I got this paper for general purposes, but wanted a paper thick enough that I could print double sided without having the ink "bleed" through and be visible from both sides. This paper certainly was the answer! When I grab my pages of print I catch myself rubbing at the pages trying to separate them until I remember that, "oh yes, these are the thick pieces of paper." There is absolutely no bleeding through the paper when printing double sided and when I hold up the paper to light it is still easy to read the side I am looking at without having the back side print shine through. I do not use this paper for picture printing so I cannot speak to the quality for pictures. I use the double sided printing on my hp inkjet printer primarily for printing recipes to put in my 3-ring binder recipie book. While this paper would certainly be strong enough to hold up to the 3hole punch and going directly into the book, I use transparent sleeves to hold them in place. I do this so that when I'm cooking /baking I can easily wipe up my messes if I spill or splatter onto the pages. Highly recommend this paper for double sided printing of all sorts.

Picked up some of this because of the amazing price and I was running low at the time anyway. Glad I decided to go with the 5 ream case rather than just purchasing single reams... Purchasing by the case better ensures that you receive your paper in great condition, because we all know that carriers are necessarily treating your shipments with love and care.. The paper itself is the best laser printer paper I've used. I particularly like this paper because of the texture. It has a nice smooth, pleasant texture, one side being EVER so slightly more smoother/shiny than the other, which I load to print on as I like the presentation better on something that isnt dull matte white.. I would describe the texture a kin to something like, satin? Maybe? It's nice and smooth and when held up to the light you can see a bit of sheen... It also makes for really nice note taking paper as well, as the smooth paper gives a great surface for writing with most pens... Print quality on this paper is top notch and what you would come to expect from a quality manufacturer. Text is super crisp... Paper doesn't hold too bad of a bend when printed (we all know how laser printers can do that, some papers will hold the bend more so than others) and eventually, once it cools down, actually flattens out pretty good. Obviously it's never going to be PERFECTLY flat, but it isn't nearly as bad as some papers, especially when printing with regular ole general purpose paper or copy paper that's usually used in inkjets as well.... I would note that you really shouldn't use this paper in an inkjet printer. Obviously, it's for a laser printer. I've tried this stuff out in my inkjets and the results aren't great. Comes out kind of faded, if you will? Almost like the ink couldn't penetrate the paper. But then again, this is LASER printer paper, not inkjet, and that's what I use it for so I absolutely LOVE IT.... Trust me, pick some of this up you wont be disappointed.

This is first time I have used Hammermill paper products and I can honestly say, WOW!

I've tried other brands out there but this is hands down the best Laser Printer Paper. Images are smooth and text comes out really sharp. It reliably feeds thru Laser Printers without jams. You can't beat it for 2 sided copying or duplexing. Both sides are very white and smooth.

- 24 lb instead of the typical 20 with a polished smooth surface gives your work a quality look and feel
- The 98 brightness is not blinding bright but elegant bright
- Smooth surface makes for precise printouts

Don't let the weight fool you - it feels and looks like much heavier stock but will run thru any laser printer.

This paper is REALLY designed FOR Laser printers so it withstands the heat without curling, sticking etc. and more importantly it doesn't glug up your laser printer.

I highly recommend this product plus you can't beat the price here on Amazon!

So, I used to work for a printing company scheduling printing presses and ordering all supplies for the plant. Hammermill was our go-to for laser printing for good reason. You could buy 20-lb paper but I recommend the 24-lb paper so there really isn't much see-through. The brightness of this particular paper is great, very bright, as indicated by it's numbers. Also, it has a nice smooth, quality texture. It is great paper for anything you would want to do and well worth the little added extra price. Color, black and white - images and text look great on this paper.

Quality paper for a laser printer

What I received is not as Amazon has picture but it's still great Hammermill paper #104604. (see my photo) I've ordered laser paper before (from other suppliers) and also received "paper for color" but it still works great in a mono color printer. This is very low to no dust paper. Ideal for keeping a printer clean and function without paper jams. 500 sheets of 24lb / 98 white paper will last me about a year of occasional usage. FYI: if your looking for inkjet printer paper try hammermill's 32lb paper to prevent color bleeding through. Hope this helps in your buying decision.

Best copy paper I have ever used on my laser printer

This is the best copy paper that I have ever used on my laser printer. I have used many different brands like Georgia Pacific, Staples, HP, Xerox, and this is the best of them all. At first I didnt really think that the paper really doesnt affect the printing quality much and I should try to save money by getting the cheapest paper with good review but after comparing the same color pictures printed out from the same printer using different paper you really can tell a huge difference in quality. The picture quality of the pictures that I printed out using this paper had more vivid colors with lighter shades showing up better on the paper then on cheaper copy paper. Cheaper copy paper had trouble showing lighter shades of colors, some of the colors like light blue shows up as light shades of yellow/green/grey on the cheap paper but showed up exactly how it looked on my computer using the Hammermill paper. The hammermill copy paper was also noticeably thicker and smoother then some of the competitor copy paper which is a big plus because some of the thin copy paper that competitors have gets stuck on my laser printer causing paper jams and the thinner paper gets stuck to each other.

- It can have a pretty high cost sometimes depending on the vendor selling it, I purchased it directly from Amazon for $7.35 shipped but sometimes Amazon isnt selling it directly.

This is definitely the best copy paper that I have used on my color laser printer, you can literally feel the difference from cheap copy paper just by touching it and the colors look alot better on this paper when printing out color documents or photos. I would highly recommend using this paper over other brands.

Some people will go to great lengths to save money, to their detriment. The cheap inevitably becomes VERY expensive and this is true for something as small as copy paper to car parts, and car purchases. Would you try to save a few dollars if it meant jeopardizing the safety, or features of your family car? Probably not.

I have 5 printers, all-in-ones and two expensive laser printers. The same for the toner cartridge and color ink cartridges in my photo printer. We also have an outrageously expensive office Savon machine for mass monthly mailings, newsletters, color photos, and advertising. We would never use something like Staples Brand paper when our office supply teams deliver our products. A paper jam can be a big ordeal in the Savon machine (the size of a Smart Car!) and a paper jam can be a major undertaking for someone who is not familiar with clearing paper jams on your particular brand, model of printer, all in one. Go with the best, Hammer Mill, all of their paper is excellent, have used it religiously for years.

One office board member had grumbled about the costs so after explaining it to him, and printing to show him how fast the printers printed, without jams, he was sold. This is a Godsend. Do not buy the cheap brands, you will end up wishing you had went with Hammermill. They are hands down, THE best! Happy printing, scanning, faxing, and copying!

This paper is exactly what I was needing. Producing church bulletins with an ink jet printer, printing both sides, 20 lb just wasn't heavy enough. Cannot find anything but only 20 lb. in this size here locally, so had to see what I could find online. Amazon comes through again! This paper fits the bill for me perfectly! At first, I was a bit concerned because this paper is labeled as "laser paper", and from experience I know that "laser papers" usually have a smoother-than-normal finish, almost like a coated paper. So I was worried that maybe ink jet ink would not dry fast enough on it during printing and come out running and streaking all over and cause a big mess. But I read in some reviews from a few that were using it with ink jet printers and said that it worked great with ink jets too, no problems with ink not setting up and drying quick enough. So based on those reviews, I gave it a try. Have used it now for a couple issues of the bulletin, and the paper is performing great, feeds through the printer with no problems and the prints are bright and sharp, with very little show through on the two sided prints.
