Fast Paced Suspence

This is the latest novel in Laura Griffin's The Tracers series. I recently read in an interview with Ms.Griffin, that her novels have many of the same characters, but each is a stand alone story.
The main characters in this novel are Mark Wolfe, Special Agent FBI, known as a legendary profiler. Allison Doyle is a female Detective in the Crimes Against Persons section. It was not an easy rise for her, she is the only female, and some of her fellow detectives, including her Lieutenant , question her abilities.
Mark and Allison's first meeting is not under the best of circumstances! The action starts on the first page, and never lets up. You find yourself suspecting everyone! Fearful for stubborn independent Allison, wherever she goes. The Delphi Institute is represented, with its varied and interesting investigators, as it is in all the Tracer's novels.
Our hero and heroine are very reluctant to act on their feelings for each other, that keep getting stronger. Mark is forty -three, a hardened investigator, who has seen the worst of humanity. Allison is twenty- seven and trying to live up to the honor of her detective's badge, and prove she deserves it. They are drawn together at every turn!
I could not put this novel down, and after reading the excerpt of Scorched, which will be released in September I'm anxiously awaiting Gage and Kelsey's story.
