Top critical review
3.0 out of 5 starsA good sample of Thomas Sowell Writings

3 stars for the range of subjects covered and for some well balanced coverage of ideas using data. Two stars off because as I read more, his arguments became more black and white with selective use of data to prove an idea, exactly what he accuses others of doing and the continual use of the phrase "the annointed" just became annoying.
If you are a conservative, you'll be quoting him and his arguments.
If you are a liberal you'll think he is the typical right wing shill and dismiss his arguments.
I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to either political persuasion. It got me thinking about a range of subjects and it was interesting reading about real life examples of good intentions and their unintended consequences.
It will certainly leave you cynical about a number of government programs, but I was cynical before I read this.
