A Distracting Rush
Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2012
I thoroughly enjoyed the first and second books in this series. (Fallen & Torment) However, I was left feeling somewhat disappointed by the third book. (Passion) So, I was hoping this book would bring things back around. I certainly don't think the book is terrible but consider it more of a distraction from the main story than anything else. I didn't care for the story of Miles & Shelby or the story of Roland. For me, they simply weren't necessary. And while the story of Arriane is also not exactly necessary to the story of Daniel and Luce, I did find that one far more interesting than the first two stories. And while the final story is definitely pertinent it makes me feel like this book has only served to rush us through something the author started in the last book (Passion) but did not want to take the time to fully complete in order to start us at the beginning of the upcoming final book, Rapture. That being said, I am still patiently awaiting the final installment and looking forward to (hopefully) a very great finish.
