Far too many mistakes!
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 20, 2012
I was really looking forward to reading this book from an author who has good reviews. However I do not trust any of the reviews - because how can a book be littered with so many typos, missed words and wrongly used words and gain five stars?
I gave up around 45% because I was so fed up with having to reread, when a sentence contained a typo, or simply something that didn't make sense. I got the book for free but I am sure I am not going to proof read it for the author.
The straw that broke this camel's back was "Downey vamoosed nice and slow;"
I got through the copious 'yilks'.
I managed all the characters wetting their lips - such an overused phrase.
Taillights - which is harder to read than tail lights as clearly stated on the Internet.
You 're (yes, there are two spaces between the u and apostrophe).
"do you five around here?" do you live around here?
"I told him about out book" our?
I could go on. I won't. There are so many.
There is no element of thriller up to 38%. I struggle to find a suitable genre for this book.
I notice there are a lot of five star reviews for this book. And would love to hear in comments from any reviewers that loved this book how they managed to ignore so many mistakes and if there is anything about this book that should keep me reading when the author has seemingly released a book without having it properly proof read.
