This e-book both helped me realize my daughter's sleep was disordered and gave me hope that it could be remedied. We followed one of the plans and it worked! Our 5 month old still cries some going to sleep on & off but she is getting the 14-16 hours of sleep she needs. We are all more rested.As a parent, I feel more confident about making hard decisions. Hearing her babble to herself as she goes down and wakes up is one of the cutest things I've witnessed! Also I bought the book, Healthy Sleep Habits, Healthy Child, which is not the easiest read and could benefit from some clear decision trees. None-the-less it has good and interesting info about sleep.
The book describes stories of 6 different cases of sleep problems and solutions. I bought it in hopes of getting additional ideas on sleep training. The cases were very specific to the individuals, and I didn't see how I could use any of that information. I am actually not sure what is the purpose of this book.
Ordered this text so that I might find out a bit of the application of Marc Weissbluth's sleep solutions, thinking that it would be helpful in giving me an overview of how he works with families and some of what his recommendations are based on. Seemed like a cookbook....think I must be philosophically on a whole different page.
