My 150 mbps USB wireless adapter maxes out at a 500 kbps download speed, and one time I got it to reach an upload speed of 72 kbps before it cut off my connection like it always tends to do. Man, that's some good tech.
Don't fall in love with the prospect of SoftAP mode if you live in 2018 though: it's not supported with windows 10, which the device is technically compatible with. You got me good, sneaky, sneaky TP-Link.
On a more positive note, I would like to personally thank TP-Link. Ever since their product has forced me to watch YouTube videos in 240p, I've gotten into the good habit of sitting at least 7.5 ft from my monitor, which is great for my eye health. I'm glad to see at least one company really looking out for their customers.
