This is the real deal. There is a good reason the company repeatedly tells you to only use genuine Brother ink cartridges. Sure, you can save money buying "compatible" or recycled ink cartridges, but the quality is questionable and can even damage your printer. I have tried in the past to refill my own cartridges (HUGE mistake), and even brought my used Brother ink cartridge to Costco for refilling. The Costco ink clogged the ink nozzle and made a mess of my printer. Fortunately they have a very forgiving return policy so at least I got my money back. Using genuine Brother cartridges ensures not only that the ink will work in your printer, but that it meets the manufacturer's standards for color accuracy and fade resistance. The LC103 series cartridges are the high capacity cartridges, and should yield about twice as many pages as the standard LC101 series. It is cheaper to purchase the LC103 high capacity cartridges unless you don't use your printer very often. If you seldom print then you are probably better off with the standard capacity LC101 cartridges as they could possibly dry out after sitting open in your printer for months.
