Good illustrations, too-violent stories.

My son loved the 5 minute star wars stories, so much so that we bought him this book and the DC version too. We were disappointed that the Marvel one doesn't use much imagination and is pretty violent. I know that's true to the comics but my 3 yr old doesn't need to see Spider-Man beating every villain with a right cross to the jaw or a jump kick to the back of the head.
The DC 5 minute storybook, by contrast, includes a bunch of creative (albeit silly) stories where the heroes use their brains to beat the bad guys. There's very little violence.
Violence has a place in stories, but I'd prefer to keep it out of stories for young kids who aren't quite mature enough to make good decisions about when to emulate their favorite super heroes.
