5.0 out of 5 starsThe Unfinished Song: Wing (Book 5)

I LOVE this series! Tara Maya is an excellent Fantasy author. I happened across Book 1-Initiate last year when I got my Kindle for Christmas, and the book was free. I read the book in 1 day and read all the rest in quick succession. I had been waiting MONTHS for Wing to finally come out and I got it right away! It was everything Tara promised. I couldn't put it down. There were twists and turns and things happened that I NEVER saw coming. Poor Dindi is going through so much...even more than the first 4 books. I just wanna find her and give her a big squeeze and tell her that everything will be ok. The characters in this book (and the others) are so believable! You just feel like you know them personally. Some you love, some you wanna hunt down and kill yourself, some you wanna shake and yell at them to wake up and see life for what's already in front of their faces. I love these books so much!!!

Now, I just have two questions:

Does Kavio make a come-back? I freaking hope so. I love him...probably as much as Dindi, lol.

When does Blood (Book 6) come out? The waiting between books is utter torture!!!

3.0 out of 5 starsWhere are we again?

Up till this book I was really enjoying this series. The concept was fresh, the characters were interesting, and the story flowed well. I am at the point now where I am thinking 'come on already lets move the story along'. Far too much time is devoted to jumping backwards in time to tell the story of how things came to be where they are now. It is an example of too much information hurting the end product. You get so caught up trying to keep track of all the names, places and times that it feels like work.

I think what the author has here are two good stories that should be told separately so they don't detract from each other.

5.0 out of 5 stars I do confess that I read the series thinking that book 7 was the final one and was quite disappointed that this is not the case

While I had a few caveats with the writing (how many times will the sweat between her breasts be the cause of ignition?), I did really care about the characters and found the imagined world to be one that was both unique and fascinating. I do confess that I read the series thinking that book 7 was the final one and was quite disappointed that this is not the case and now must wait to finish it when the author does. Hopefully, that will not be a more protracted one because I do not want another RJ or GRRM. I gave both of those series up due to them becoming never-ending stories (which was a pretty good movie but not, for me, a good series. After all, wasn't HP much more soul satisfying to have come to a triumphant, rich conclusion?)

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Series!

I found the first book in the series just browsing on Amazon and thought it had an original story that hadn't been copied by every other author writing fiction. I was not let down by any means. Every book has been wonderfully written and you feel transported to the world of these characters and are living every moment side by side with them. You become so wrapped up while reading them, time seems to pass by as if Dindi were doing a Vision dance with you included. I do have to agree with the other reviews though on asking why there is such a long period of waiting between books if they are already written especially when there are 12 books in all? I received my copy on Friday and was finished reading it on Sunday and these are by no means small books. I'm an avid reader and am in the middle of several book series sets but with the waiting it can create a loss of interest unfortunately. However, I'm still impatient to know what will happen with Dindi, Kavio, Umbral, and the rest of these wonderful enticing characters and their lives!

I love this series! I got the first book in a 6 book fae sampler set and as soon as I finished it I bought the next and continued until I had read all 6 that are currently available (in less than a week). It's hard to rate each book individually since they ran together so seamlessly and I read them one after another so it's hard to recall where one ended and the next began. Still I know I loved each one. I'm so bummed that the series is not complete and there will be a lot of waiting in my future but I'm confident they will each be worth the wait.

I waited for almost a year for this book, I hope I do not have to wait so long to get to book 12 geese the suspense is killing me!! As always she is an excellent story teller, her imagery is vivid. Tara's ability to blend the multiple time lines and characters and yet stillweave a coherent story is outstanding. I love her imagination, I never bother to waste my time speculating because her books are not predicatible. Cannot wait to read more of the series. Please don't make me WAIT To read it for 12yrs it's torture.

I've loved this series from the very beginning! I was concerned I wouldn't remember what was going on because I read book four a long time ago. But it mostly came back to me. Enough that I really enjoyed the book. I'll probably start over and enjoy them all consecutively! I definitely and whole-heartedly recommend these books to anyone and everyone. Wonderful characters, exciting story and fantastical magic. A series I would save and have my daughter read when she gets a little older! Thank you Tara Maya!

5.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT PASS ON THIS SERIES!

Usually this far into a series the storyline has begun to slow or at least one or more of the books seem more like "fillers" until the author can decide where to go with it next. I have yet to pick up a single one of The Unfinished Song books that I haven't devoured every word and only been disappointed when it was over. This is the most original series I've read in years, with each book just as good as the first. I highly recommend it to fantasy readers of all ages.

4.0 out of 5 stars I did not enjoy this book as well as t he first four ...

I did not enjoy this book as well as t he first four mainly because of the violence and torture was lengthy and disturbing. I do understand it is part of the story line and it will not keep me from continuing with the series. I still feel this is one of the best modern fantasy/fairytales I have read in a very long time. I am new to the story but am enjoying playing catchup. Can't wait for book 6. Thank you Ms. Maya.

This entire series captivated me. I found it to be so imaginative and sweet. The little outcast girl who is secretly powerful. I love books that can take me away from reality and this series definitely did..the only thing I do not like is how long it is taking for the next book to emerge. hurry up already, I would like to read it :)
