Fixed my Stanley Compressor
Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2019
When I got my Stanley compressor eleven years ago, it would build pressure quickly, but not hold it, and it would come on and off regularly. It turns out that there was a slow leak: a crack in the casting that holds the regulator and pressure gauge. All of a sudden, the leak got worse so that I could see the problem. I was about ready to just replace the compressor, but for the price of this part, I figured I would try to fix it. I disassembled the pressure gauge and took the casting off the compressor, reassembled with the new regulator and now the compressor holds pressure for days! That was the problem all along; it probably came from the factory with the leak. This has saved me some serious bucks.
