Boring and flat

This is more a romance than a mystery. Dani wakes to find her husband is gone, and she spends the book going over how they met, what their marriage was like etc. Way too much of it (and I wasn't that interested). The "mystery" about where he's gone is handled badly. She assumes he's left her (even though all clothes, phone etc are home). It's over a week before she and family even make missing posters or do any real search for him. And the police seem to focus on Dani, without much reason as far as I could tell. They never question his work associates or other people.
