The best book you can get to help you start coding. Seriously, get it :D

If you want to learn HTML and CSS but you know next to nothing about coding, this is the book for you. And if you're worried about being able to comprehend and retain all there is to know about coding, this book is perfect. Ignoring the juvenile way the information is presented, this book is a literal goldmine of tips and information. You start out by doing simple coding that anyone could probably do, and you learn and retain a lot more than you would if you were trying to learn it alone. I bought it for less than $20 and it is worth every dollar.
I can't learn giant chunks of information in one sitting like I could when I was in school because of migraines and an illness I got a few years ago. It's such a relief learning things without getting migraines again ;w; I can't recommend it highly enough.
The creators of this book have my complete devotion and support and I know I'll buy more books from them in the future. Also if you're looking for a reference book, they have reference books by O'Reilly that you can buy. They're probably just as good as this one, to be honest. (I'm buying them after I finish this book lol)
