The title says it all

The title alone says so much about this book. Jeremy Wood met Malanie Johnson when they were in High School. He loved her and the ground she walked on. She too thought Jeremy was probably the man she would spend her life with. However, alcohol and a lie nearly caused them to never see a HEA. Malanie lost something she could never replace, and gained a bundle that was not wanted.
Jeremy followed his father into the military. Malanie became an accountant and suffered tremendously over the years. A chance fight outside of a diner reunited these two. However, on that day Malanie suffered another agonizing blow to her heart and gained something too.
This book is a journey these two take that brings life around full circle.

The story was pretty good the only thing was that Anne was pregnant by someone else. Call me old fashioned but I think the story would have been just as good without that particular piece.

This is the love journey of Melanie and Jeremy. These two met while in high school they had a lot of obstacles to jump and move out-of-the-way all because they were at interracial couple students and teachers and parents did like that these two were together but they persevered until one fateful night. A misunderstanding broke them up but not before Melanie became pregnant Many years later these two met again after living life with its ups and downs. And still they had feelings for each other all these many years later. But as always with this couple things just didn't go their way. This was a lovely story very realistic you may cry and cheer for them throughout the story I know I did I recommend the story to you.

It was a nice turn of events, At first I thought she was just a thoughtless girl making poor choices but when I read further my heart just ached for her.Malanie got back up and pulled herself together after some tough decisions and moved her life forward.Meanwhile Jeremy is also making a life for his self as the years go by.
Then one day under less than good circumstances he sees his high school sweetheart once again.
The roller coaster ride takes these two on a journey to a life they had dreamed of long ago.
The story will tug at your heart, and make you smile also.
You'll be cheering for them.

This book was my first by this author but not my last. The story of Malanie and Jeremy is filled with love, misunderstandings, growing up, and forgiveness. Each charater is completely worked and honored. I can't imagine what else she could have thrown in that would have improved this story. It made me cry, laugh, get angry, and fall in love (with Jeremy)! This is a worthy read. =0)

Malanie Johnson and Jeremy Wood are a couple who are high school sweethearts but are soulmates too. Through obstacles, each one finds themselves and eventually finds their way back to each other.

The strength of a mother is unparalleled and her love limitless. Sometimes the most selfless thing to do is to give up your child so they have a better chance.

This book is a story about that kind of love and selflessness. It made me angry, sad, scared, happy and then I was over the moon at the closure for all of the people.

Ancelli writes the most emotional griping and honest stories about conditions in life. Along the way she teaches us little something about ourselves. I love this lady and her work!!

I really enjoyed reading this story. I enjoyed the turn of events. It was different and rapturous. Usually its the guy coming back in on the scene but here your experiencing parenthood through the single father. His coming to rescue his daughter from the vicious grand mother. This is the second book I've read of Ancelli. I do like her style. I love the friendship relationship and drama that follows over a lifespan. You get to see the developement of the characters over time. I like this story.

At first I kept wondering why the book wasn't ending....it kept hitting points where it felt like it should have been wrapping up, but then I would look at the percentage read and realize I still had always to go. But it. Was well worth the read, great characters that I was really cheering for, with believable story lines...maybe one to many story lines, with domestic violence, crazy exes, false claims, and a hostage situation. But it did make a for an enjoyable read.
