I read a lot of books but I’ve never seen this done before. It’s the same story with many of the same scenes and the same dialogue but from the perspective of a different character. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not totally identical because it’s the POV of a different character so there is originality in the story line, but this is absolutely brilliant. This is what I love about Colleen Hoover - she thinks outside the box. She jumps all over, not necessarily sticking with just one genre, so you never know what to expect when you start one of her books. What you absolutely CAN expect is a wild ride into the land of story-telling, and a book you just can’t put down until you’re finished. Every time I read one of her books I think it’s the best one she’s written. I loved Hopeless. It had me on an emotional roller coaster with my heart physically racing, hormones on overdrive, tears in my eyes, and me yelling out loud at no one in particular. And just when you think it can’t get any better, it does. While I have been a strong fan of certain book characters before, I don’t remember ever falling in love with any of them. I fell in love with Holder. I want a Holder in my life! How does Colleen do that? This guy had my hormones raging through both books! He’s absolutely perfect!! It must be the dimples. I loved this book even more than Hopeless, and HOPEfully, this is not the end of this beautiful love story.
