I enjoyed this book very much. Some of the letters became a little bit tedious about 2/3 of the way through the book, though.
I did, however, get the message. Be nice to people and pay attention to strangers. Especially if they are someone you would not normally pay attention to.
There is a whole section of the book that could be titled, "be nice to homeless people." The funny thing is... halfway through the book I ended up giving a homeless guy a hug and 10 bucks. I'm sure it happened because the of the strong power of suggestion this book carries. Also, I found myself being nicer to family members I have not felt very connected to.
It's a great book to read during the holiday season... puts you in the mood to help others out. A friend of mine also read the book and ended up in the great conversation with a stranger on a plane, for the same reason. One could say... this does seem to affect your life, just by reading it.
