When Jimmy Fallon announced that "The Plot" had been chosen for his book club, I bought it, read it, and loved it. I am now determined to read every book by Korelitz. This one is not as good (or plot twisty) as "The Plot," but it held my interest until the satisfying ending. I highly recommend this writer.

When I first started reading this book I honestly thought I wasn't going to continuing reading it as the beginning wasn't keeping me interested. But I kept reading and then couldn't stop. Very interesting and possibly actually happening in real life. It's possible.

I liked this book. The story was interesting and I learned somethings I did not know much about. At times it dragged on a bit, but it eventually returned to being interesting again. Sybylla frustrated me at times, but I did like her. Her kindness was admirable, in light of her upbringing. I have read and enjoyed other books by this author and look forward to reading more. Thank you.

Even I couldn't suspend my disbelief enough to be able to enjoy this book. The characters were poorly developed and clique including a very good looking guy who drops into the "heroine's" life. The LSD information was interesting but belabored to death. I enjoyed You Should Have Known much more as it had real people with souls. I would skip this book unless you are very interested in medical experiments on involuntary subjects and LSD.

I enjoyed this thriller tremendously. The protagonist, a legal aid lawyer, is so smart, so deliciously funny as she falls in love, as she fights the bad guys, as she checks out mystery after mystery in the case of a homeless guy stabbing a little girl. Great fun.

public defender in history could hold a candle to Syballa, Way overdone.

What do we expect from a book? To entertain? to teach? to criticize? to talk about fake taboos ? to make people think about all they " know" and despise but are neither creative nor brave to fight?
MsKorelitz leaves nothing for her readers to imagine. she just tells them the truth, loud and clear. It is up to each one to acknoledge it and make something to change things.
I loved the book, what it says, how it is written, how I felt challenged by the writter.
