Top critical review

I very rarely write product reviews, in fact, I pretty much never do. But this book is awful and not worth any money whatsoever. I read other reviews about typos and thought someone was being snobby, and then I opened the book. I just read a page where an entire paragraph was duplicated with only one word difference. The typos are SO awful, you can’t get past them.
More importantly than that, there is no actual helpful information in this book. After about 100 pages, I’ve basically learned there are many ways to mess up your pre-toddler and how critical of a time this is, without one suggestion about how to do it right. There’s pages of the incorrect ways to play with a child and how if you do it wrong you’re impacting how they learn for the rest of their life. What is missing is the accompanying ideas or suggestions about how to do it correctly.
I think the worst example is the scenario where a child won’t eat fruit so one mom let her cry in the high chair for an hour and a half until she ate a banana. Immediately followed by the rhetorical question, Will this work for you? We don’t know. Well why are you writing a book then? There’s not one tip to avoid a picky eater besides this anecdotal story of the child protesting fruits who cried for an hour and a half before she caved.
I am so disappointed in this purchase. I was really hoping for some good tips and ideas for navigating this unique phase of life, but this book certainly doesn’t have them.
