Highly recommend. This book made a huge difference for us and our son was sleeping through the night by 3 months and has never had sleep issues. Had he not been born a preemie, I'm sure he would have slept through the night even sooner. Understanding how to schedule your child's sleep routine and feedings so that they get enough calories and adhere to sleep times that allow them the ability to sleep through the night is key. It's also helpful in identifying sleep regressions before they arrive so that you can quickly adapt.
That being said, there is no one-size fits all book for every child. Every family has to decide what will work for them, coupled with the advice from a reputable pediatrician. We did not follow the book's strategy 100%, and no one probably should. I don't even think it's meant to be read that way. But rather, it gives you the ideal situation and you tailor that to your baby's own needs.
I have heard of unfortunate stories where people who followed the Babywise theory ended up with medical issues. So again, I would emphasize, that common sense, the advice of a Dr, and this book, will help you get a schedule that works for your family. No one should disregard practical medical guidelines.
