Last 3 cartridges purchased have NOT lasted anywhere near what it claims it should print!

This Canon PG-245XL printer ink cartridge does NOT last anywhere near as long as it claims. I've found that these cartridges, which are supposed to be the XL (more printing) are going empty just as fast as the smaller/regular ones. Also, be sure to notice the prices for these cartridges. Amazon has them for 1 x PG-245XL Black = $25.99, 2 Pack = $139.99, 3 Pack = $198.99, 4 Pack = $257.99, 5 Pack = $315.99. Anyone else see a problem with Amazon's math? You can buy 5 individual cartridges for just $129.95, as opposed to purchasing the 5 pack "deal" for over $300. That's inconceivable! While the CANON PIXMA MG2520 is a great printer, the last 3 Black cartridges that we've purchased from Amazon directly have run out VERY quickly and haven't lasted anywhere near the claims of others on here. Maybe we received a bad batch? We don't know. We will be needing to order more ink soon, but we may look into the generic/aftermarket/non-Canon ones this time around since this low ink issue keeps happening. Finally, we've cleaned the heads, run the alignment, printing on Draft or Regular mode, and we are NOT talking about the software telling us that the "ink is low". We are talking about installing a brand new cartridge on April 3rd, then printing maybe 100 sheets of half page text, and it's already spotty and running out. That's simply unacceptable. A good example would be going to a dealership to buy a car that states that it gets 35 MPG, yet after purchase it only gets 12 MPG, even with minimal use. :-/
