Can't recommend this book more. One of the first training books I ever read, and the lesson of utter brutality as a mentality, in the gym and in life, has stayed with me throughout my training. The book is less focused on providing a strict program (though there are two good ones offered, one with weights and one with bodyweight movements), and more concerned with providing examples of good movements. Of particular note to me was the section on building a bigger neck; I read this book after receiving a concussion while playing football, with symptoms like a splitting headache and memory issues lasting for almost two years. I knew I needed to build up a more robust neck, so an injury like that couldn't happen again. I started using the methods described in the book, and within three months my neck was noticably larger. All told, over the course of a year and a half, my neck has grown from 15 inches around to 18 inches around, and I feel comfortable doing things like playing rugby with my friends again.
Overall, it's a fantastic book, even if all you pick up from it is one or two things to add to your training, or just the mentality of absolute strength in life and in training.
