Sorry, this isn't what I expected. Everyone gave this rave reviews saying he gave us insight into what it was like for an older kid to have autism. Not the case. He just picked random things and gave his opinion on them. Or told random stories. He was sad about his parents' divorce (yeah, most kids are..my boyfriends kids are 16 & 20, it's been 3 years and they STILL won't get over it). He also beat up a lot a kids. My kid gets bullied, but that's just it, HE gets bullied. I WISH he was strong enough or had the guts to beat these bullies down. Yeah sorry, this book was not my cup of tea. I got about halfway through (which was a struggle at that), skimmed through the rest (it was just more of the same) and gave up.
