How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

No issues with binding or content. If supply chain issues occur and I do not have access to pellets for some reason, I want to know NOW what has been safely given to rabbits to slowly transition them to more greens, and this book does a good job. Appreciate the knowledge. Am about to order the willows and other seeds. I can't wait to wean them 75% off from pellets. Thanks for this survival guide book.

2.0 out of 5 starsLong on rhetoric, thin on nutrition.

While there is -some- information on plants to avoid and a bit on some plants to try, what's missing is how to make good nutrition choices for your rabbits. Nothing about the nutritive content of different plants ("they're natural! What more do you need!"), nothing on how to balance plants for a varied and nutritious diet. Even basic portion size is totally absent (though described for pellets in some detail ironically). Instead pages and pages of rants about GMO, the cancerous agenda of non-organic foods etc. We hardly need to buy a book for that: having the INFORMATION to go "beyond the pellet" is lacking, and that's what I think most of us buy a book for. Anyone can let rabbits forage in their field without buying a book, and the militant granola routine is free on YouTube for the taking. Essentially this says: eat weeds and rejoice in your organic lifestyle. The rest is up to you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Confidence Boosting Rabbit Book!

This book really boosted my confidence in feeding my rabbits a diet that I could afford and that gave them better help. My rabbits now prefer their wheat and sunflowers seeds to their pellets. We give them hay all the time and garden produce in the growing season.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic resource for those looking to feed without pellet or looking to reduce feed costs!

If you want to know what kind of things to plant to provide a nutrient dense forage for your rabbits whether you're gathering yourself or have tractors, this is an incredible source. Information is given on protein amounts needed for each life stage, what plants/ hays to feed, what plants aren't safe. Fantastic book, a wealth of information, and a quick read. This book isn't going to break down the nutritional content of things, but does recommend a diverse diet to cover all bases.

The information is invaluable. I fed my rabbits most of the spring and summer solely on foods I foraged. Shows that rabbits can be raised efficiently and effectively on natural foods. All that being said, the editing was horrible! It’s obvious that the author did not have anyone proof read, it’s to the point where it’s painful to read. But helped me feed rabbits cheaper.

Very pleased with this book. I learned so much from it. The experience these two men have is outstanding. I plan on putting a lot of their methods to work in raising rabbits this coming year. I would reccomend this book to anyone interested is starting to raise their own meat rabbits. Those that have been feeding mainly pellets or anyone just wanting to learn more about feeding your rabbits for nearly free. Waiting on the third edition, raising rabbits in a colony.

By far the best book I am aware of on a subject that is in desperate need of attention. While the subject is inexhaustible, the authors bring a quality work backed by a lot of experience.

If you want to feed your rabbits naturally, you should just buy it.

full of information. i have read/ referenced this book several times, and when planting my spring bunny garden, i will use this book for the research part of it. it is by no means all- inclusive when it comes to plants edible for rabbits, but an AMAZING start for anyone wanting to plant a garden for their rabbits. there are some oddly spaced pages (where there are just big gaps in text and pictures) but i have utilized these for taking notes from other sites to have the most valuable information all in one place. anyone wanting to lower their feed bill or eat a little cleaner should read this book. a great reference book that my reference bookshelf will never be without.

if my house burned down, i would buy another copy.

So interesting and informative. Read the entire book in one sitting, I like to study different homesteading topics during the winter when I can't get out in the garden. A cup of hot cocoa and a good book is a great way to spend a snowy afternoon.
