Must-have if towing a dual axel trailer.
Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2017
I've had 8 of these -- 4 on my camper/trailer and 4 on my truck. I just bought this pack of two more - one to keep as a spare and one as a replacement for one that failed on my truck. I'd have given 5 stars, except for the one that recently failed on my truck after only a few months -- but it was on a wheel where I had to take the truck to the shop because of metal-on-metal screeching coming from the brake pad and rotor due to a frozen caliper. The alloy wheel and this sensor were covered in brown dust from the chewed up brake pad. Given the extreme circumstances, I probably can't fault this one sensor for failing -- the other 7 are still working perfectly.
All of that said, I don't ever want to be without these. Twice over the past 7 or 8 years I've had shredded tires on my dual axle trailer due to flat or blow-out that I only discovered after 1) I stopped and noticed and 2) a motorist pulled alongside me with the passenger window down and a woman waving at me and pointing to my trailer tire. Now knowing that I can't feel a flat on a dual-axel trailer, I count on these to keep me informed of tire pressure and temperature on our annual 6,000-8,000 miles of summer trailer camping trips.
