How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

4.0 out of 5 starsEvie and Dante's FWB Love Tryst! 4.35***** Spoiler Alert!
Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2021
Evie Stryker, odd and youngest sibling out of the four Stryker brothers, was taken to recuperate in Fool's Gold after her cheerleading accident, with a footballer. Once mended she undertook the role of getting the Winter King's performance up and running onstage as elderly, love-struck Ms. Monica left town. Evie had to come to terms with her family drama, forgive her Mom and brothers, train the roving high school cheer squad, wrap books for the kids of FG, volunteer with her mom at the adoption event where she adopted her cat, and fall in love with roving Dante, who took his time to realize he was in love with her. HEA for those two, after a successful performance of the show and her dance solo.

Fair yet predictable plot with loveable characters, and a theme based on forgiveness and second chances. A quick read.

3.0 out of 5 starsGotta love Susan Mallery for the HEA endings
Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2017
Gotta love Susan Mallery for the HEA endings. That being said, I have to give this one a 3 1/2 stars. The book itself followed the regular pattern with a single, lonely, misunderstood h and single, handsome, alpha male H.

My main problem with the story was May, the Mom, yes she was sorry, and yes she wanted a relationship with her daughter. To find out how really crappy she had been, when in all the previous Stryker books she was warm, loving, and best Mom award kind of women. It kind of made me irritated and that she got forgiven to easily, and I got the other small room and made you sleep on the couch when you were growing up to the let's me best friends was a bit of a stretch for me. I'm all about forgiveness but it seemed a little forced in this book.

The other problem was that is was very PG-13 on the romance department and it followed the same pattern as all the other books. The sex scenes could have been a little juicer.

If you want a pleasant read for a afternoon it's a great series, but I would start with the 1st book as you will have no idea who, is who in the story if you don't.

Happy reading!!!

I am shocked at the high ratings this book has received. I'm guessing it's because they like the author. This was the most boring book I have read in years. It was highly predictable and lacked passion. I read All Summer Long before this book so I was familiar with the characters. There is only so much mother daughter drama I can take. What's up with the estranged child/parent theme in her books lately. I was very dissapointed with this book. It was as if it was written for the 12 or 13 year old range. Actually if it was a movie it would probably be rated G. Please avoid this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars A predictable story line without the build up.

I've read all of the Fool's Gold series and enjoyed them all. I was so looking forward to this book. What a disappointment! Susan doesn't build up the passion like her previous books. She also didn't build on the characters like I thought she should have. It seemed like a book written fast without the time put in to make it a wonderful book.

I can't in good conscious even rate it. The authors should not have used kids in this book as main characters

2.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Community
Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2018
The community and family relationships are the focus but things fall into place too easily. A horrible childhood is okay because the mother is willing to love her as an adult. A bit too easy.

I was hoping for more of the brothers and mother to interact and admit to the neglect that had been her life
Ms Mallory could have done so much with this character very stale

2.0 out of 5 stars Nett zu lesen, aber total vorhersehbar.

Kitschige, liebliche Romanze für weniger gute Tage, liest sich schnell und flûssig, aber wirkt in keiner Weise glaubwürdig. Werde wiederzu anspruchsvollerer Lektüre greifen.
