This is a review for the first four books in the series. I have loved all of the stories and the characters and would have given them a greater number of stars if it weren't for the many and frequent grammatical errors. It is annoying and distracting since there may be several on one page. Do writers not have a proof reader anymore? Here are just two examples: "Anyways.....". The word "Anyway" is not plural. Ever. "He didn't know where he left his jacket at". The word "at" is a preposition. You should never end a sentence with one. There are regular misuses of words such as was/were, saw/seen. And at least once "your" was used instead of "you're". As others have said before me, "itch" is a feeling on the skin, "scratch" is what you do to relieve it....you don't itch it..
The characters are well developed and interesting. The plots exciting and paced just fast enough to hold a reader's interest. I will continue to complete the series but I highly recommend that Mr. Carson pay more attention to proof reading. It is difficult to take an author seriously when the errors are ones that would be covered in English 101.
