This works for me at the end of 25' cable run followed by a 3' length to the TV. I get UHD with HDR. This switch performs as advertised and can be useful in number of scenarios. I don't have a gaming box so I can't comment on that popular use of this switch. Mileage varies depending on the types and brands of equipment and the cable length and type. At 4K levels cable quality is much more important than at 2K. The old adage that a digital cable works or it doesn't, is rubbish. Certified Premium cables are required for UHD HDR applications. They are not expensive, you do not have to pay a lot for cables. Check out Monoprice premium certified or KableDirekt cables. Both very affordable and of high quality. Sure try the cables you have but if they don't work consider the brands I've mentioned, they are to be found on Amazon. Anyway, back to the switch, cheap and it works.

Does not actually support HDMI 2.0

Could not get 4K/60Hz mode operating at full 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. Had to drop all the way down 4:2:0 chroma subsampling to properly drive to 4K/60Hz. If you don't know what 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 means, it's essentially a method of compressing your display signal to decrease the amount of data flowing through the cable, while retaining high resolution and high refresh rat; this comes at the cost of display quality (there is a big difference between 4:4:4 and 4:2:0 chroma subsampling)

Support for a maximum of 4K/60Hz at 4:2:0 chroma subsampling means that the switch only actually supports HDMI 1.4, NOT HDMI 2.0. So it's false advertising. If you're using a 1080P display, this will not be an issue for you. But if you wish to switch between 4K displays at 60Hz with full color space, this will not work.

I'm using it to switch between two sources (a computer and a document camera) and one display (a monitor), but it is bi-directional and I successfully tested it switching it between one source and two displays.

It is very small (slightly less than 2" x 2" x 3/4") with a sturdy steel case and two bright red LEDs. The switch is not momentary but is of the sort which stays up (port 1) or down (port 2) until you press it again, so it retains its setting even when all devices are power down. It receives its power from the devices plugged into it, so the LED indicating the selected port is only illuminated when any source device is on.

Functions Fine With A Samsung UHD 28in. Monitor

Needed this item to switch between 4K video sources to my Samsung U285E10 28in UHD monitor (Costco), which only has 1 HDMI port that can handle the UHD signal. Have a PC with a GTX 970 graphics card and a PS4 Pro. Needed a simple way to change the inputs other than plugging and unplugging into that port and potentially wearing the jack out. So far, so good with it and no problems. One advisory is to be choosy about is which cable to trust with the signal, as 'any old' HDMI High Speed cable might cause flickering or the screen to blank momentarily -- so don't give up on this device if that seems to be a problem and try different cables. As luck would have it, 3 ft. Amazon Basics cables worked OK for my setup, but 'your mileage may vary' depending on HDMI cable length, and how picky your 4K monitor or TV is.

This is the first time I have written a review the same day I got an item, I am that enthusiastic about this splitter. I needed something that would split the HDMI output from my bluray player to either my TV or to a projector. I tried several splitters and all were unsatisfactory so I had given up. I saw this on sale at Walmart, but even though it was a bit more expensive on Amazon, I bought it.

I have a fairly complex set-up with six HDMI outputs to two TV inputs so there were two 3 to 1 splitters in line already. If something could go wrong it would with my setup and that was demonstrated with several of my other attempts that ended up with really lousy tearing picture and/or no sound..

Connected it and it worked immediately with no issues. I was a little concerned from some of the reviews but, as noted, no issues. Great solid picture, easy to use (you do have to get up and push a button, but consider the alternative), and worked fine in line with a different (3 to 1) splitter which senses input to shift to that input. Picked it up immediately. Plus,it is cheap. I strongly recommend it.

It wasn’t that many years ago that I got my first monitor with HDMI connectivity and a Mac Mini with HDMI output. My monitor only had one HDMI port and I wanted to connect two devices so I researched getting a switch. In those days there was only one available, it was a brand-new concept and of course expensive. It only handled the lower bandwidth of the early HDMI protocols and its operation was iffy at best. Oh, and it was as large as a cigar box.

Now in 2017 I wanted to add a third HDMI device to my bedroom TV and looked to see what’s available and found this very affordable unit. I chose it based on the reputation of the brand, despite the fact that there are several models that look identical. I was not disappointed. The unit itself is all-metal with a very high quality of construction. I like that the switch is mechanical, which I feel will be more dependable in the long run, plus the fact that I can tell by sight or touch which input is selected, not that I have to because there are also two LED lights to indicate whether the input is A or B. The included documentation is well written and better than I expected.

One of the devices I wanted to use is a 4K blu-ray player into a 4K TV. I bought a matched set of 3 short high-quality HDMI cables to use with this switch. There is absolutely zero visual signal degradation or issues with the multi-channel audio. The signal syncs instantly and perfectly every time I push the button to switch inputs.

While not affecting how I like this switch I did make a slight improvement to it which is to add a piece of self-stick felt to the bottom of the metal case because I have it on top of a piece of fine furniture. Not everyone will need or want to do that but without it you can expect the metal box’s edges to scratch.

Fosman Two Channel Switcher

The Fosman HDMI two channel HD switcher works as expected. I use this product to switch between my teleprompter laptop and my HD camcorder to an external HD monitor. As several other reviewers mentioned, it takes about 1 to 2 seconds when switching between the two channels. If you don't need a quuick switching change, then this product should suffice.

This product is a slight overkill on what I needed, but I wanted primarily internal power from the HDMI port for on location video shoots. In some cases, AC power isn't always available, so the internal power is a nice feature to have. The HDMI syncs quickly from either device. The overall quality is good using a metal housing and a single action button and three external ports. I attached the switcher using velcro to the underside of my teleprompter and thus can be mounted most anywhere.

Of course, this product can be used in reverse as a too, but I didn't buy it for that purpose.

After an initial installation, I am happy with this. It is not a powered piece, so it relies on power from the devices plugged into it, therefor it won't behave as great as most powered ones.

I am using this to bridge an AppleTV and AmazonFireTV to my TV. I used a piece of heavy duty double stick tape to secure it to the back of my tv, which hides the cables well.

It does take a second or two to switch once the button is pressed, and the screen will either "freak-out" quickly or read "No Signal" on the TV, but has always righted itself after a second or two.
For a non-powered device, I expected this.

The button is a little sensitive and will start to switch if you mess around with it before or after pushing.
Best advice, push the button, wait a few seconds, and it works.

For the price, I am very happy.
I will update review in the future if anything changes.

If it lasts, I have no reason to shop for another HDMI switcher.
