Yea, I've read books by hikers of the three main trails PCT, CDT, APT, those are very interesting filled with adventure, the bike racing ones are good to a certain point , but speeding through the states are not my idea of fun , but they are adventurous and hurry up and go fast as you can , This book is a horse of a different color adventurous, learning to ask for directions, and dealing with figuring out why you don't always have to follow the red line, The insightful thoughts are worth contemplating . I liked the descriptions of the land and the people he met. The ending maybe a surprise or maybe not. Nice book hopefully he keeps writing.
