ADORED: Masters and Mercenaries Novella Book 8.5
We open with the twice-married, twice-divorced Mitch staring at his ringing phone. He wants to reach through it and throttle the caller. Too-young Laurel has just been accepted at Sanctum for training. Just the thought of another man's hands on her makes him want to kill the messenger. "Kai, deny her application!" "Sorry, man. Too late." At her sister's wedding (where he tried to warn the bride that her groom was gay) it was clear Laurel wanted him; but she was his paralegal! Nope. Nada. Never. Then his little head had to butt in...as usual. But he was too rough, too hard; and she was just a kid. Why did she want him? Okay, I guess there are two sides to every story.
