I enjoyed Jim’s first book on Cowboy ethics, and decided to grab this one as well. There is some repetition, but he also expands on his earlier ideas. Then, as he begins to provided a more detailed explanation of the Cowboy Code, he sets up reflections on why those virtues are still valuable today. Finally, he concludes by assessing the state of our nation, not through the lens of politicians and corporate giants, but through the eyes of everyday people. Jim offers some solid challenges, but ends with a vision of hope. I’m glad I took the time to read this one as well.
