How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Great book to read. Easy, entertaining, educational. I like O’Reillys book very much as they are easy to follow and understand. He makes reading history highly entertaining and nothing boring. Hard to put the book down once you start reading.

A very readable book which not only covers Hitler's role in Germany but very nicely important details of WW2 including Patton's extraordinary role in it including the Battle of the Bulge

We all know how it turned out but this book covers the inner collapse of the Nazi regime. Some coverage of Generals Eisenhower and Patton and decisive military successes. Photographs consumed a lot of pages, some could have been omitted in favor of more text. Some of the photographs were of fairly poor quality.
Overall it was a very good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Read

Bill O'Reilly, as in his other books (Killing Lincoln, Killing Patton, etc.), is able to draw the reader into the individual scenes which play out, them seamlessly blend all segments into a cohesive understanding of all the individuals /events which took place prior to, during, and after WWII, as they relate to Adolf Hitler. This creates a feeling of being, not just an observer, but rather an actual witness ( sort of a "You Are There") to the events as they take place, while giving the reader a real feel for the emotions played out over the course of the war, by all participants involved.
As noted, an excellent read. Bill O'Reilly has again provided the reader with substance and thought-provoking insight of all parties involved, but especially those of Adolf Hitler.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent short read

I’m not a huge reader. Maybe 2-4 books a year, and I had this read in a couple hours. Based upon my studies of WW2 this seems accurate. However , 60-70% of the book is about Patton, not hitler. Good book overall for a quick history lesson and American occupation of France in 1944/ battle of bulge.

5.0 out of 5 stars O'Reilly Knows his History

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook, which Bill O'Reilly and his trusty researcher have eloquently put together. This time period essentially is from the winter of 1944 until Hitler's death in 1945, emphasizing the Battle of the Bulge and the erasure of Germany's borders by the advancing Allied armies, especially the Soviet Red Army from the Eastern front. As the Allies advance, Germany's military might crumbles, as does Hitler's reign of terror over the past decade. A very good summary of the closure of the war in Europe, and Hitler's subsequent death by suicide. Highly recommended if you enjoy World War II history.

4.0 out of 5 stars a very good read. I am midway through his latest

Of the series, I found Hitler's Last Days to be the least compelling for two major reasons: 1. The account of Hitler's death has been documented many times over the years and 2. Patton's part in the last months and days of WWII was basically a re-write of the book, Killing Patton. However, neither of these issues turned me away from reading and enjoying the book. I have such high expectations of O'Reilly that this was, by comparison to his other works, a bit of a downer. All in all, a very good read . I am midway through his latest....Killing Regan and it's a 5 star gem!
