This is my first Amazon book review, but I felt compelled to write one for this book. Steve Sheinkin has done a great job of synthesizing a huge amount of information, often with contradictory perspectives, and his book is both historically accurate and an exciting read. I would recommend it to anyone, regardless of their age, who wants to understand the history of the Pentagon Papers. As a matter of full-disclosure, I am not exactly unbiased. Daniel Ellsberg is my father and I lived through the events described by the book (I was 10 years old when my brother Robert and I helped Dad copy the Pentagon Papers and was 14 by the end of the trial.) I am used to finding annoying and sloppy mistakes in nearly every account I've ever read of this period, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the even-handedness and meticulous accuracy of the book.
