Great Series, but buy it elsewhere. Amazon won't make the middle of the series available on Kindle

This is one of my favorite series. I first started reading it when I came down with mononucleosis on vacation in the Australian Outback, and once we reached Ballarat amd a bookstore, I wanted the longest book I could find while I rested. I read most of it in paperback/hardcover format, but I stopped reading it after book 10. When I later bought my Kindle, I got back into the series and finished it.
Now, as the series is in the news again, I figured I'd re-read it. My original copies have been lost on the winds of time, so I repurchased Eye of the World on Kindle, amd finished it quickly, and I purchased The Great Hunt and I just finished it as well. Ok, so I'll head over to Amazon and grab The Dragon Reborn...wait, what's that? Oh, there is no copy of The Dragon Reborn on Kindle. You have to buy the collected books 1-4 for $40 (same as if each was purchased separately). So if I want to continue reading, I have to pay Amazon for two books that I have already paid for, bringing my total cost for the four books to $60. Four books that were published over 20 years ago, so we're not talking about hardcover just-released prices.
This is absolutely ridiculous. Maybe it is an error, I do not know, it seems almost too stupid to be an attempt to gouge customers. Instead of a situation where I would be happily hitting the Buy button so I can continue to reread the series, a satisfied customer filling Amazon's profits, I am upset and unhappy and not giving them money.
Bottom line, this is a great series. If you want it in ebook format, buy it from somewhere else.
