How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsExpecting? Me??
Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2021
I loved this book from the moment I started it. As a mother of two, I can speak to the medical reality included herein, but the BABIES were so sweet. There were funny moments, stressful moments, sad moments and real moments. Doctors are human...even though they might not seem like it at times.
I loved this book. It brought back memories of my own two children, who are both grown now.

3.0 out of 5 starsDisliked the main character

This book could only be interesting to women of child bearing age who think a lot about having babies. The delivery doctors at that hospital have such unkind personalities that they should have gone into a different occupation.

Great characters, some laughs and giggles. Cute predictable love story with enough side stories to keep it flowing, a really enjoyable book. Would make a good Hallmark movie. Definitely a chick book. Men will never understand it. If you are looking for a light read, a break from the thriller mysteries or epic history novels, this is the book. Enjoy!

Big Time Book Junkie
4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting insight into the world of having babies

Good read about working in Labor & Delivery as a resident. I liked reading the stories of women in labor and the various things that happened to them. Of course, as is always the case in the medical world, there were some good outcomes and some that were not. Some of what went on was surprising and it made me wonder how they kept their jobs, but I guess maybe things like that really do happen.

I usually like these types of books and while it was good, I'd have preferred a little less focus on the romance and more on patients and their situations. I felt very sorry for the medical student and if that's how they're typically treated, I'm shocked that we have any doctors left.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Scoop on doctors - the good ones and the bad ones.

Great story, held my interest, so much I could hardly wait to get a chance during the day to get back to the story. Doctors and residents, nurses, and their relationships in this story draw you into their lives and you feel you are standing right next to them as the story unfolds. This story has a green eyed Dr and another Dr who fall in love, both have baggage from former relationships, so they work side by side throughout the book. The intern who passes out in the operating room whenever she has to assist with a c-section. Love, surgery, delivering babies, and a busy ob/gyn section of a hospital - if you are interested in those things you will love the book.

This book just resonated. I'm a mom of 5 biological children and step mom to six more. All of them were deliver by Cesarean section.

I laughed (hysterically), because I could envision what was going on in their minds, hearts and worn out minds and bodies.

I cried, as some of it was heartbreaking.

I fell in love with the babies, and all of the staff, because they were so human.

Absolutely wonderful book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must reading for fans of medical humor!

As a physician I found this book to be a hilarious take on the life of residents and medical students during training. The author has a sharp, witty and totally engaging grasp of hospital life at it's least attractive and this is what makes it so much fun to read. While not touchy feely, the humanity of the characters shines through. It is a great read for anyone who likes medical humor that does not take itself too seriously. I also highly recommend the author's "Suicide Med". It is a deeper exploration of medical education and training and will not disappoint.

I have read ten of this author’s books..all have been wonderful. While this one was entertaining, I didn’t feel suspense as I did the others. It was a good story and I should have read the description. Clearly my fault.
