Great book for understating the dynamics and past historical facade of mutual fund investing. Teaches great basics of mutual funds, stocks and bonds but as the title states mostly mutual funds. Great read if you want help deciding where you want to put your money, A must buy for anyone looking to grow their money.
I thought that this was a very thorough book on mutual funds. Bogle brings to light many things that I wouldn't have known. The only problem is it requires good concentration to get through parts of this book as it can be a bit dry at times. Very good source of information overall. I would recommend it for someone to have as a reference.
There is plenty of common sense in this book relating to information regarding the purchase of Mutual funds. However there is a lot of information that is not relevant to the British market. Especially all of the information relating to tax on funds which takes up a lot of the book.
The book is not the best in the market. Bogle himself was great! I would rather read other books also. He mentioned everything and again he lost everything in this book. Although this is my opinion, personally I did not like this book as I thought I would before started reading it. If you think after reading this book you will be a great knowledgeable person in MF, you might regret. Read it along with other books also.
