This is the best calculator I have ever had. It's perfect for college algebra, statistics, pre-calc, calculus, and trig (from what I've used it for) serious game changer. The backlit display may not seem like a big deal but IT IS.. It can do everything and the display is so clear. And you can even put in programs to do things for you. Like i downloaded a program for creating factored equations for you. All you have to do is enter in the three values (for a b and c in the equation a x squared + b x + c = 0) and it'll display the facored equation for you, like 3(x+1)(2x-4)=0 totally pulled that out of my ass but you get the idea. BEST CALC. I had a casio fx 9570 gII before this and this is WAY better.

Overpriced yet necessary. TERRIBLE build quality

The TI-84 plus ce is an amazing calculator but there are many downsides. In schools across America many kids are required to get ti calculators, any alternatives would be hard to use due to lack of instructions in class. Although this simplifies many things it also makes way for a monopoly on school calculator use.

Design: This calculator is very thin and sleek, making it one of the best-looking calculators in the market and the most portable.

Materials: These calculators materials are god awful, For close to $150 your getting a cheap, scratchable hunk of plastic. With its terrible fingerprint attracting screen and its scratched front panel (mine came scratched) I feel this calculator should be made of much better materials considering its price. In the first month, 2 of the plastic bumpers on the back fell off because the cheap glue used does not stick. Overall I would say the build quality of the ti 84 is completely unacceptable.

I LOVE this calculator. It is the complete opposite of the calculators that I used in middle school. This calculator is SO thin and lightweight. Not to mention, I love the fact that it could use different colors now, adds a lil bit more organization. It is obviously a lil bit pricey, but these things last for YEARS (provided you took well care of it). I remember a story where this person bought this for middle school, and even in college, she still uses the same thing! I like the fact that you could just charge this via a USB cable, unlike the old ones where you have to swap the batteries, its SOO convenient. I bought a protective case for it for protection and organization, I suggest people should also do that, if theyre gonna invest on an expensive calculator such as this.

Exactly what I ordered. It was used, so it's signs of age are expected. Unexpectedly was both the surprisingly good condition it was in, (the amount of wear could have just as likely been light chafing caused by the package shifting often in transit) and the fact that it's previous owner thought one of the most basic formula I've ever seen was worthy of writing on the inside cover. It was just in pencil and after keeping it for a time out of amusement, it easily erased off.

Personally, I think this is a good calculator, I would make the keys easier to click however because it is pretty uncomfortable. Otherwise, this is definitely better than my old version TI-84 PLUS Silver Edition. I like the screen brightness quite a bit and it is visiable

Big, bright, color screen is a major improvement. The TI-84 Plus CE is essentially the same calculator as the very capable TI-83, but it's thinner, faster, and easier on the eyes. It's an excellent scientific calculator for calculus, and it will probably wear out or be lost long before an upgrade is needed. My only complaint was the so-called "frustration free packaging," which was not true.

I bought this back in may for my Calculus exam and I’ve had it for a month now.
This particular model is super easy to use and it’s perfect for math tests.
The color display is amazing!
The calculator is very responsive even when doing the most complicated computations. Battery life is definitely on point. I sat through an entire test and I barely used 3% of the battery.
The only downside for me was the build quality. The whole thing is PURE PLASTIC which is just unacceptable at this price point. It’s super fragile and I can safely say if you drop it once it’s game over!
All that being said it’s still the best option out there in my opinion. Make sure you go for the TI-84 version instead of a TI-83 if you can because the 84 is MUCH EASIER to use.

I love the calculator more than any calculator I've used but... the price is a bit much to me I understand graphing calculators aren't cheap however some students are not financially able to afford this calculator especially students with disabilities who aren't currently able to work in the middle of college years. I think that the calculator is amazing its like getting a new phone but better! Especially if you like mathematics! 👍 Shipping was quick however 7:28pm was not the delivery time and I prefer my packages delivered before sundown. I got mine at night where it was really dark.

Frustration free packaging order

I decided to try out and order the frustration free packaging option for the black color. I didn’t know what to expect when i opened it, but i was surprised that everything was in great condition (as it should be). The frustration free packaging is basically when they mail you all of the products that you need and eliminate the plastic part (ex. The hard plastic casing that paclages the calculator) this helps the environment by mainly using recyclable products. The calculator came in bubble wrapped, also came with the manuals, warranty, plug, charging port and a another wire (not sure what it’s used for). The calculator is great as well, no glitches and pretty fast than my previous ti 84 plus
