This book was ok but nothing to write home about. I don't plan on continuing with the series.
The h is a kindergarten teacher and is encouraged by her mother to take a break and go with her to Scotland to help with an archeological dig site. Once there they find a portrait of the h and upon reading the inscription she's transported back into the past. She mistaken for somebody else and is required to marry the H. She does all this without any worries because she believes she's dreaming.
The H is the new Laird of the castle since his father just passed away. He's being forced to marry someone he doesn't like because his father made him swear that he would.
This book had a little bit of everything: drama, time travel, intrigue, a mystery, allies backstabbing, love triangle, etc.
Imo, this book is good enough to read once. Didn't rate it higher because I wouldn't re-read it.
